time to go

I left work this morning on a bit of a sour note. To be blunt I pushed a problem off onto a coworker. I'll readily admit that I didn't want to handle the call even though I was aware of the problem. Going home and getting some much needed sleep was more important to me than staying fifteen to thirty minutes late at work. Now because of my behavior, I am sure that she thinks that I am lazy. Personally I think that I can deal with her scorn for a day or two.

In my defense I would like to mention that she was late for work this morning and will no doubt be late tomorrow morning, but I don't hold that against her. Then there was the Saturday morning when she came into work hungover and left me to handle all of the calls by myself for an hour. No thanks was given at that time.

Oh, well. I never said that I was perfect and just moments before she took that call I told her that I had been awake for twenty-four hours. I guess that I need to make stronger hints next time.

Hail pelting the awning outside my bedroom window woke me this afternoon. Then as I listened some more there was some thunder mixed in with the hail. It wasn't something that I expected to see and hear today, but I guess that anything can happen in April.

Early this evening my brother and I hammered out some more details for our trip to Europe. We finally have the dates that we want to leave and return picked out. We also have some key destinations in mind. Now the next step is to start pricing some airline tickets. Having some of these decisions made makes the trip that much more real to me and I can't wait to go.
