ebay motherlode arrives Besides getting my ear looked at yesterday something else positive happened that I forgot to mention. The doorbell rang late in the morning and standing at the door was my friendly attractive female mail carrier. She handed me multiple packages and was on her way. Amongst the packages was the Altogther cd by Orbital that I wanted mainly for the killer remix of the Doctor Who theme. A few weeks back it had been playing in my local comic shop and it became a quest for me. Years ago another group had made a remix of the theme, but this one was so much better. The song almost sounded evil and definitely more modern. Naturally I went online in my search, but all of the versions that I downloaded weren't the same one that I had heard in the store. Not knowing anything about the other songs on the cd, I was relieved to find that I liked some of them as well. Besides the cd there was a dvd copy of the movie Winter Sleepers and some clothes that I had ordered from J Crew. What I got in the mail was enough to keep me occupied for most of the day and I didn't even have to leave the house. ... California Dan sent me an email explaining why I never heard from him when he was back in Wisconsin for the holidays. It seems that he lost my telephone number. He did however have some great cautionary relationship advice. His concern is that now that I own my own place, some woman looking for a free ride will latch onto me. Maybe Dan is being paranoid, but I can also see his point. I have worked hard to get where I am now and I am not about to share it with the wrong person.
