then comes august

I'm not really sure what to say about today except that I am glad that the day is over and that tomorrow is Saturday. Nothing awful happened, but I just don't feel like talking and or writing. Silence seems like a good thing and that was how I spent most of the day. Reading doesn't make that much noise.

Lately I've found it hard to say anything positive about my life and that has to change. Plus arguing at work made this week feel longer than it should have. Hopefully that won't happen again next week. It isn't something that I need and or want.

Most of July has been a blur for me and I guess that that usually happens in summer. Last year I was seeing someone and that made the days float by even more or at least I think that it did.

No explosion of emotion today. No insights. No random observations on life.

Another good comic book on the market is JSA written by Geoff Johns for DC Comics. For those that don't know the acronym JSA stands for the Justice Society of America and they were the heroes from the World War II era in the DC universe. Obviously these weren't the characters that I knew twenty years ago when I first starting reading comic books, but they were brought back every so often in new titles. One of them was called the All Star Squadron and that came out back when I was just getting into the hobby. At the time it didn't hold my interest, but that has changed now. There is a definite charm about these characters and seeing them in a more modern environment is one of the strengths of the book. Propaganda heroes who used to fight Nazis are now being used in a new context.
