moons of neptune I neglected to mention one small complaint about yesterday and it had nothing to do with going to the mall. Actually that was rather nice and would have been even better if the women in the store were in their twenties and didn't dress alike. Sadly that wasn't the case. Sitting or to be more precise stuffed inside my mailbox was this box. It was not something that I was expecting and when I figured out what was inside it, I was even more upset. Someone had ordered some movies on DVD using my name at my old address. Thankfully the discs had been forwarded to my current address by someone so the dirt ball who tried to commit mail fraud with my name missed out on his free stuff. I was not happy and made some quick phone calls for some input and to vent about what had happened. ... Work was fun last night and I honestly mean it. Oh, my job responsibilities haven't changed, but the overall attitude of the people who work the off hours has changed. Basically we do what we have to do and then do what we really want to do the rest of the time. I see it as a perfect system. Another thing that I like about the after hours weekend crew is that they too are going to school and since I'm not going this semester I can still live through them and their stories. ... Early this morning at work I read Mark Twain's novel Eve's Diary and I wonder why it doesn't get more attention than it does. I think that it's funny and very real at the same time. Then again it doesn't portray Christianity in a positive light. ... I watched some more of Henry IV Part II and was very impressed by the exchange between Henry IV and Hal about taking over the crown. Now I realize that this is theater, but I would care so much more about politics if there was just a fraction of that eloquence in today's leaders. Most of the time they sound like morons and the current leader of the United States would be a prime example. ... Before I went into work tonight I spent some time with my family to celebrate my sister Hope's birthday and it was nice time. |
