Quiet. All that I wanted when I got home from work was quiet, because my night at work had stirred up enough noise inside my head. Let me explain. Recently there has been a shift in power at work and for me that means a new boss. Sigh. I think that I would have preferred the person that used to be in charge, because they didn't go outside the company, but chose someone who a large portion of my department loathes. I am hoping that something will improve this person's people skills and surprise me in the coming weeks. Today was not that day though. My new leader didn't understand an email message that I sent him and I did more than shake my head.

I think that I used too many words and confused him.

Oh, well.

...

On the way home, I stopped at Target for some thin jewel cases and browsed the meager plant selection while I was there. Besides the usual ferns and cacti that I usually see there was a large selection of bonsai and lucky bamboo plants. Now as tempting as the bonsai looked, I held back. It's been five years since my last bonsai tree died and I'm not sure if I want to send another one to its death. At first it grew really well for me, but then I pruned it and it quickly turned a rust brown.

Home. Once I got there, an overcast sky and a portobello mixed mushroom pizza calmed me down. Now I'm ready for sleep.
