moving their home After the internship this morning, I went to visit my parents. They had some computer questions for me to answer and I hadn't seen them in a while. Driving to their place is always a trip back in time for me. I didn't learn to drive in the city. The first roads that I traversed were out in the country where there are more fields than traffic lights. I can look at the sky more than the road if I want since the odds of hitting something are so much less than if I were in Milwaukee somewhere. For me the whole atmosphere of driving is more pleasant. The road becomes more of an experience than a means of getting to and fro. While I was there I saw some photos of the new house that they are having built and the whole process still amazes me. To be able to have your personal space be what you want in the first place rather than having to transform something that already exists. It sounds like a simple thing, but I wonder what percentage of Americans actually build their own house. |
