gloomy fog morning When I walked out the door at work this morning, it looked and felt like the middle of March. All of the fog and rain was totally unexpected. This is not what I would consider typical December weather and I suspect that if this trend continues any trace of snow will be gone by the end of the week. On the positive side, once I picked up some bread, lettuce and milk at the grocery store, there wasn't any reason to leave the house for the rest of the day. Besides those new food items, I had taken some holiday food with me when I left my parents place on Christmas. So it didn't matter that the weather was less than inviting, I had plenty of food to eat and other things to keep me inside. ... I was thinking some more about Christmas and how the holiday for me at least seems to rush by like lightning. I'm not saying that this wasn't a great holiday. I definitely had fun both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I'm just saying that it does go by incredibly fast. There is so much build up in the weeks before the holiday and then it is all over in a moment or two. Thankfully I still have my tree and presents to keep the feeling going for a while longer. |
