garage door opener My father stopped over by my place this morning to reinstall the refurbished garage door opener. After he had left on Saturday he did some more digging in the gear replacement kit that we had bought and found a new bearing in there. Before he found it, he had thought that he was going to have to make one himself. Otherwise without a new bearing the new gears would have worn down just as fast as the old ones had. That small discovery changed his mood and mine about that purchase. Until that part was found, both of us thought that I had wasted my money. An hour and a half later after some adjustments, test runs and final inspections, I can proudly say that my garage door now opens and closes better than it ever has in the past. Now our next home improvement project involves replacing the garbage disposal in my kitchen sink. The blades have been locked for months rendering it useless. |
