prophet five custody

I think that I may have started to establish a nice little routine and or positive habit for my Wednesdays this spring. For the second week in a row, I grilled some hamburgers this morning after my walk. Being a life long eater of meat, there is something very unique to the taste of meat cooked over an open flame. Yes, that sounds like an endorsement for some grill manufacturer, but for me it is very true. Plus I like being able to spend that extra time outside.

Watching the two hour episode of Alias tonight, I discovered that I have a better command of French than the person who did the translations for one of the characters. He said ecoutez, which means listen, but the subtitle used the word look for some reason. The French word for look is regard so I know that it must have been a conscious choice, because the two words sound nothing alike.

Putting aside the French language, there was an interesting blend of old and new faces in the episode. This was the first time that I had seen any of the fifth season, so I had no real idea of what was happening to Sydney and friends anymore. By the time that the episode ended, I came to the conclusion that some of the characters may have changed since last year, but overall the show has the same formula to it.

Obviously there are some pluses and minuses to the show sticking with its same style for as long as it has in its existence, but a drastic overhaul probably would have killed it that much sooner. Besides I am sure that some would argue that there are only so many ways that Sydney can disguise herself and or kill people. For me, the first and second seasons were the strongest of the run with the third paling in comparison. Hopefully the writers will be able to offer up a satisfactory conclusion to years worth of alliances and double agents.
