maritius to madagascar

On my way into work this evening I neared the end of disc three of the Susan Vreeland novel Girl in Hyacinth Blue and I am still enjoying the book. With each chapter we the reader move back in time with the same painting tying these different stories together. I find it to be the perfect blend of history and character studies.

I didn't have a chance to watch Sunday's episode of The Amazing Race until this morning. Here is what I thought:

- We have yet another new element to the race introduced this time. I liked the concept of Intersection, where two teams are forced to work together to complete a task, although I think that once a race is enough. It would probably get old if done too often.

- Team Kentucky was finally eliminated after much struggling on their part. I suppose in their own way they had a certain amount of charm.

- Watching Kimberly, Rob and the boy models eat the cow lips was entertaining in a "I am so glad that that is not me way."

I still think that the Cho brothers are the team that should win.

The past two days have been perfect days for sleeping. On Sunday I was exhausted by the time that I walked through my front door and just made it through a taped episode of Saturday Night Live.
