amazing race sunday Once again eleven teams of two people have been sent racing around the world to win one million dollars and I was there to watch them. I was glad to see them head to Ireland having been there just last year. Although Shannon was not one of the places that I visited, the overall landscape of the place itself was familiar to me. One of the odd aspects of the program is that a team can get eliminated by a completely random element that has nothing to do with their physical ability or and navigational skills. Usually a task where a team has to find a small object hidden inside something large is what trips them up. Eating tasks also seem to bring down some stronger teams. Finally, whenever there is a task that involves an animal there is trouble and that is what happened to the first team to be eliminated. A stubborn donkey brought them down. ... I might have sounded somewhat negative in my review of the Tori concert, but that was not my intent. I was glad that I went, but not knowing a third of the songs left me at a disadvantage of sorts. The songs were not old friends, but were new acquaintances instead. |
