noon means sleep

Since today was my transition day back into work, I slept late. I had been awake until three in the morning so sleeping wasn't a problem. Well, it wasn't a problem once I got used to the idea of sleeping when it was dark outside. Yes, I am strange.

My body is so confused about what to do when it comes to sleep now that I am third shift person most of the time. In general people fall asleep or get tired when it is dark outside, but the night is when I truly wake up. Actually on Sunday I fell asleep with the noon sun shining it's brightest on me. Okay, the curtains partially shielded me from the light, but it certainly wasn't as dark as at night.

Shakespeare in Love was my afternoon matinee selection. This time I wasn't the only person in the theater, but I was the first one there. Of course this meant that everyone else who came in after me had to sit as close as possible to me. I am a human magnet after all. Ahem.

One couple sat almost directly behind me crumpling their snacks. Then another couple sat one seat away in the row in front of me. Suddenly I was surrounded. Sigh. It wasn't as though I was in the center of the seats either. I was sitting in an aisle seat so I could stretch my legs out. Thankfully my new neighbors were quiet during the movie.
