Michelangelo sibyl from the Sistine Chapel

calm and quiet

Woke at four this afternoon feeling hungry and slightly warm. The humid summer heat has returned to Wisconsin, but for the most part I'm safe inside my air conditioned house. The heat outside can't keep me from sleeping.

In a very strange way it almost felt like a winter night except now I take shelter from the heat instead of the cold.

Time passed slowly as I read a book on the couch. No cares. No worries. No sudden insight. Just a night of reading with the combined hum of the refrigerator and air conditioner providing background noise.
