Arsenal got a mention in CNN, even if the subject was not so happy. Damned hooligans.

My new favorite comic book. Love the artwork.

Eurodisco. Insanely catchy.

Cintra Wilson in Salon, talking about the Miss Universe contest:

"Where were the shots of them parasailing without panties? Or eating big piles of sugar-whipped jism?"

The annual festival for the benefit of Christian Brothers College will be held today at the Exposition Building in Memphis. Tables will be in charge of Mrs. B. Babb, Mrs. M. Cahill and Miss Mary Hale.

These three women deeply resent having furniture tell them what to do.

No, I have no idea why my site is all fucked-up lately. It's either Freeservers or my FTP program. Or something in the HTML. Let's try a new, simpler look and see what happens, okay?

Did I mention that the Williams Family got a laptop? It's true! We're now the proud owners of a first revision tangerine iBook. Woohoo! Trish hooked us up with a good deal, and we are now a Two Mac Family. I'm happy to be here, gentlemen.

We went car-shopping last night; Sonya's wanted a convertible for a long time and there's no reason why she shouldn't get one. She drove a Sebring and a Cabrio. Personally, I liked the Cabrio, and it's more in our price range, too. It rode better than the Sebring, too.

And today one of The Wife's coworkers showed some interest in buying Sonya's current car, an Altima. This is working out pretty good.

Sonya has asked me, when the time comes, to do the actual negotiating for the car. If she sells her car to the coworker it will be sweet - I've got a check from eLoan and some cash in hand. Do you want to sell me this car or not, motherfucker? The upper hand is almost mine - cool.

Then we went home and watched Buffy, of course. While watching I drank a tallboy full of Schlitz Malt Liquor Bull, which my father once upon a time manufactured at their brewery here in Memphis, which was long ago turned into a Coors plant. So when I drink it, it's a family thing.

So when Buffy went off I had to pee, bigtime. I ran for the bathroom - and so did Sonya! Apparently she had to pee, too. I had just made it to the bathroom door when she grabbed the back of my shirt. I flung out a hand and caught the doorframe.

This was so damned funny I got the giggles and let go of the door, letting Sonya rush into the bathroom ahead of me. She locked the door.

Maybe you had to be there.

And this morning I woke up with a vile headache - don't mess with the bull, buddy. You'll get the horns.
