two sides to the story With no sign of the sun, the rain continued to fall this morning as I watched the movie Of Human Bondage with Leslie Howard and Bette Davis. From what I have read it was the breakthrough film for Davis and I can see why, although I think that the other love interest in the movie was more attractive than her. The story itself was completely new to me since I never read the Somerset Maugham novel even though I think that it was a standard on high school reading lists years ago. It was not my intention to have what I said about my last girlfriend sound like a rant. I was just trying to say that she is not an easy person to get along with on a daily basis and she will be the first to admit that she is a very spoiled person. She also has problems dealing with stress which definitely puts a strain on a relationship. Of course according to her nothing that she did made me happy. Personally I would have been much more happy if she had tried less and left me alone every once in a while. Then the fact that we couldn't agree on very much didn't help us either. For her children were everything, but as far as I am concerned that can wait another five years if ever in my life. Thankfully all of this is in my past now and I can focus on myself and what makes me happy. Despite the weather I think that my mood was better than it has been in days.
