one less person Well, my second shift coworker got part of his wish. I was told this morning that he'll be moving into the other department, but not until June. I won't get to hear his reaction until Friday night, but I can certainly wait. Now I have to wonder what will happen in the fall when he starts school full time. My boss seemed to take the move in stride and said that I was free to change departments if I wanted, but I know that any real prospect of me changing anything before the trip is unrealistic. I have too many other things on my mind right now. Of course I was also supposed to let him know if I knew anyone interested in the newly available position. What they should do is rotate the hours to make the position easier to fill, but that isn't for me to say. None of this really matters though. I know that the department will do just fine until we get someone new.
