refreshed relaxed ready

After five hours in my car tearing down a highway through the center of the state, I am finally back home in Milwaukee. Despite the hyper state of mind that the drive usually leaves me in for a few hours, I still have to say that being away for the past few days really did me some good.

All elements of my daily routine were forgotten for the past two days. Work and my mixed emotions about Ann were far far away from where I was and I could truly relax. Of course two blissful nights of eight hours worth of sleep also works wonders for me. Then being fed food not made by me is even better. My grandma knows how to create the ideal getaway resort and it didn't cost me anything.

...

When I walked into my house, I couldn't believe how incredibly warm it felt. I know that the house had been sealed up tight for a few days, but everything was so warm. Even the carpeting felt warm as I took off my deck shoes and wandered around the house making sure that everything was where I had left it on Saturday.

I have yet to turn on my heat even though during the course of the day the temperature rises and falls at least twenty degrees so I knew that that couldn't be the cause for my cave of warmth. My best guess was that it had to be much warmer here than where I was in the northern part of the state. Another possibility is that my downstairs neighbors have their heat on already and some of it drifted up into my place.

...

I had a rather hefty amount of mail for two days waiting for me and a note saying that they tried to deliver the memory that I ordered for my computer. They needed a signature and said that they would be back again tomorrow.
