What I am trying to say is that too often people have such distorted expectations from people. No, that would just make me seem like a frat guy in search of a party. ... Since she'll be out of town, I won't see or hear from Ann until Friday. So for the next few days, it'll be just me going about my merry way. I'll be busy reading for class and then going there to discuss Virginia Woolf. Then there is the slight chance that we'll get our mid-term exams back this week as well. I'll pay some bills and go to work and then Friday will be here. Thus is the prediction for my week. Everything else is uncertain at this point. ... A coworker caught me by surprise at the laundromat this morning. Maybe if I had scanned the lot a little more I might have seen his car, but I didn't. If I scan the parking lot for any car I usually look to see if my old girlfriend is there, but something tells me that she has moved on to somewhere else by this time. I also have this feeling that she is married and probably a mother by now. It was her major goal in life when we were togther, but all of that is in the past. He saw me first and started talking almost immediately. I'm not quite used to talking with people on a Monday. With trying to make the transition from a third shift schedule to a first shift one, I'm usually in a daze for most of the day. Actually he was the first person that I had spoken with since Sunday. I was alone with my thoughts for over twenty-four hours.
