quiet monday morning Rather than thinking any more about the certification. Rather than reading the assigned material for class on Tuesday. Rather than filling out the registration paperwork for the spring semester. Rather than going to see a movie. I did something completely different instead. Sometime yesterday I decided to reformat the hard drive on my computer. That might sound like an odd way to relax, but it kept my mind off of other things. Then again I think that I just needed to do something completely unrelated to either work or school. Of course this makes me sound like a sad geek and reinstates my need for machines. Sigh. Actually I did just need a break from everything yesterday. The past week at work had been strange and in some ways so was school. There were so many different going on at the same time that I was starting to get lost. Being able to do something that had no timetable to it other than my own was so nice. While the computer did its thing, I wandered over to the television every so often to watch whatever movies were playing on one of the local channels. First it was Honeymoon in Vegas and then it was Good Morning, Vietnam. Now neither of these movies would make my top ten list, but they were enough to keep me entertained as I reinstalled software here and there. ... I did reach a decision about the certification issue yesterday that seems to work for me. Since my time is so limited now. I'll do it during the winter break between semesters. This way I can focus on school and not abandon possible future advancement at my job.
