green lantern shine Saturday night and most of today let me forget about last week. For a change of pace I spent the day visiting my parents for the first time since January. I had been asked to do some work on their computer for them and in exchange was provided some home cooked food. So in some ways being there functioned as a small vacation of sorts. I was completely removed from my usual world for one that exists whenever I want it. Another highlight of the day was coloring with my four year old niece. I was handed a Winnie the Pooh coloring book and told what colors I was supposed to use for his shirt and his body. It was probably the most relaxing thing that I have done in a long time. My brother and sister had just returned from weekend guard duty and I still find it odd to see them wearing camouflage clothing. Even more strange is hearing my sister talk about cleaning and reassembling guns.
