spring emerald pools Green has become part of the landscape once again. All of the trees along the street have started to bud. They might acually be able to provide some shade in a week or two. Some people say that winter lingers too long here, but I think that winter makes us appreciate spring just that much more than where it is warm all year round. ... Class went well today. Before it started I chatted some more with the ever animated Miss Zealot about the Milwaukee Rep and my thoughts on Anna Karenina. She knew what I meant about the comedic actress taking a dramtic lead and how that can work againt someone. A mental image has to give way before a new one can be formed. Then I changed the conversation back to her. I wanted to know if she had had her audition yet to which she replied that she had just yesterday. She doesn't think that she'll get the part that she originally wanted in a production of Hello Dolly, but she's pretty sure that she'll still have a part. Talking with her is such a contrast to the other people that I usually see every day. No one else seems to have the same amount of energy that she does and I think that that is what I like the bext about her. Then again the fact that she looks good in a Power Puff Girls tee shirt and bib overalls doesn't hurt either. Maybe I should have asked her which one she was supposed to be. ... Mrs. Dalloway. We are back to Mrs. Dalloway this semester which was part of my primary reason for taking the class. Last semester the instructor had talked about The Hours which was another version of the novel Mrs. Dalloway and how she was teaching a class devoted to rewriting the novel. It sounded good to me. Little did I know that it would focus more on the Victorian novel than the modern one.
