10:00am My mood this morning is so much better than it was yesterday. Maybe watching the inane movie Bring It On at work had something to do with it. I needed something to make me laugh and I did. Something about the cheerleader concept has always fascinated me and the movie played on the usual themes. What I mean is that people either ridicule them or worship them. Very seldom is there a middle ground. Some old David Niven film is on the television. I have no idea what it's called, but it seems to take place shortly before World War II. So far I've heard talk of Hitler and building the Spitfires. I almost have the feeling that the film might be biographical, but I can't be sure yet. Changing gears. It looks as though the upcoming issue of the comic book The Amazing Spiderman is going to deal with the events of September eleventh. I'm not sure what to say about that kind of a move, but I have yet to read the whole issue. All that I have seen so far is the cover and the first three pages online. I'll probably know more next Thursday when I'll have the actual comic in my hands. Before I left work I put my arm around Nicole's waist, held her close to me and then told her fiance that I was stealing her away from him. I told him that I would take her home with me, then rub her feet and brush her hair. I told him that we would have passionate sex. She asked him what he thought of that idea and would he stop me. He didn't reply. Then after some more prompting from her, he said that he trusted her. The sun is back. Yesterday it had gone missing and refused to be seen. I must confess that it felt good to hold Nicole. Oh, I think that I have hugged her before, but there was an odd thrill in holding her in front of her fiance. A primal defiance perhaps. Downloading comic book preview images, a David Niven war film on in the background, cars going by on the road off in the distance. Saturday morning at my house after work. There are things that need to be done this weekend. Most important on the list would be that the rest of the book Beloved needs to be read. Then if there is time I need to go back and finish Snow Falling on Cedars. Once those things are done, then I'll be able to relax. After doing a search online, I think that the Niven film must have been The First of the Few. Now a documentary on the history of The White House is on the television.
