Late this morning I spoke with Ann and heard all about her miserable weekend. Quite simply she should not drink alcohol. I thought that she had learned her lesson last time, but it seems that she had to push herself just a little farther this time for the full message to take impact. Sigh. For not being her father, her brother, her husband or even her boyfriend, I worry way too much about her.

On the school front, I didn't look at the schedule for next semester at all today. I was too busy trying to finish the book Beloved. After we get done watching the film on Tuesday I'll have to write a paper on it for Thursday.

Ever so slowly I think that I am coming to realize that where I live belongs to me. More and more it is starting to feel like home. Most of the boxes have been unpacked, but I am still rearranging things to my tastes. As I said before the books on the shelves made a big difference. The prints and paintings still need to be hung, but I am sure that they will complete the effect. Today however I didn't do anything of that nature instead I just read, did some laundry and relaxed.
