some wasted time Today was not nearly as pleasant as yesterday, which I guess shouldn't surprise me. Two good days in a row is a bit much to ask. What really bothers me is that I'm not sure why the day was so blah. Maybe it was the weather that threw me off balance. What I do know is that I am still very attracted to Nicole and the final moments at work did not help my cause. I hadn't seen her on Thursday night Friday morning, so I was determined to spend some time with her before I left this morning. When I saw her she was eating her breakfast or to be more accurate she was tearing it apart. To make things simple she had ordered a turkey omelet and would pick out the meat as she ate it. Well, from what I could see and what she was saying there was more meat in it than she had expected. About all that she did eat was the hash browns that came with the omelet. Seeing her eat makes me wonder if she is just as picky at home. Somehow I have the feeling that she is and that might start to wear on me after a while, but I can't say for certain. Yes, here I go again thinking about the two of being together even though it won't happened. To compensate for this loss I focus on the negative instead. Thoughts of her were still with me as I drove home under a cloudy sky. My bed seemed more important to me than going online and my Friday came to a close. When I woke about four hours later, I stumbled outside to the mailbox only to discover that the sun had come out and it was hotter than I liked. It was back inside and from there the rest of the day went downhill. I got nothing accomplished. I didn't touch my homework, nor did I read anything. I alternated between dozing on my couch to half watching late afternoon television most of which was mindless. There was one exception though. A public television airing of They Died With Their Boots On caught some of my interest. Even though it's comedic by today's standards, Errol Flynn as Custer and Olivia de Havilland as his love were enough to get me through the first hour. Then when I saw Anthony Quinn as Crazyhorse I didn't know what to think.
