maori tribal customs

Planning a trip is in some ways just like the trip. There are ups and downs where goals get changed and or forgotten, but in the end it usually produces something worth remembering.

Thanks to the slow movement of what I call my job, I managed to gather a small of material off of the web about where I want to be in January. Now what I need to do is start sifting and making decisions about what can stay and what must go. Of course I have yet to discuss any of this with my sister, but she is usually happy enough with what I put before her.

So far I've discovered that despite what they might say about deals in airline tickets they don't seem to exist if New Zealand is the destination. A package is the most attractive option at the moment and I think that that is something that both my sister and I can appreciate. What we did and saw in Australia on a different package worked well so that may be the best way to go this time around.

Part of me wishes that we weren't going at the peak travel season for that part of the world, but I honestly need to get away. Besides a crowd would almost be welcome from my everyday pattern that is wearing on me.

I have no idea what my sister is expecting from New Zealand, but I have to climb a glacier if I do anything there. To me that sounds simple enough and they seem to mention it in most of the sites that I've read. Yes, I walk to walk on a large piece of slow moving ice. Yes, I want walk wear boot with metal spikes on the soles.

I am so easy to please sometimes. The key word there would be sometimes.
