tori amos tomorrow Last night at work went well. I got a very good start on my paper and I should be able to finish it before I leave work tomorrow morning or at least that is what I am hoping will happen. Since I have next week off from work I want to be as free as possible. My trip to Spain might have gotten pushed aside, but that doesn't mean that I can't still get away in a different way. ... Since I live by a lake, I've been making a habit of driving by to see if any ice has formed on it yet. With our recent cold snap I have a feeling that it is going to happen soon. Now that I read that again that didn't come out quite right. It isn't as though I am waiting to go ice fishing. I just want to see it happen if I can. Frozen lakes make some of the eeriest sounds that I have ever heard. I can remember years ago standing on the ice late at night listening to the creeks and groans underneath me. Now I know that it was just the ice buckling from the temperature, but it was so unlike anything that I had ever heard that I'll never forget it. |
