they banished coriolanus

Thankfully I could focus today which let me be slightly productive for part of the day. Two off days in a row on my weekend would have been very depressing. I also don't want this trend to continue into February.

I made the mistake of calling Nicole this morning to chat and see what she was doing only to get her fiance instead. It was awkward, but he didn't say much nor did I. The call itself probably won't be mentioned when we see one another later this week. Even before I called I knew that there was the possibility that he would answer, but I called anyway. As I said before I felt like chatting and Nicole always fills that role nicely. Besides I hadn't seen her at all on our last day at work.

I've reached the third act of Coriolanus and I still don't know what is happening and I guess that that makes sense since I've never read the play. About all that I understand is that Coriolanus is not a popular man even though he is a great soldier. Maybe the final two acts will be easier to follow.

Before I fell asleep I started reading Irvine Welsh's latest novel Porno. It was fun to hear that Scottish slang again and having Sick Boy narrate was even better. In the film version of Trainspotting, Mark told the story and Sick Boy was a secondary character. As to whether or not that was case in the novel, I don't know because I've never read it.
