july means summer Friday night at work surprised me by being very busy. Without going into the details of my job, the storm front that rolled across Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio was enough to keep me from doing that homework that I had brought me. I was not happy by the time that I left work. ... Earlier on Friday night I saw the movie Shadow of the Vampire for the first time and I liked what I saw. Then again most of what John Malkovich does is worth seeing. Willem Dafoe wasn't that bad either. The whole tongue in cheek aspect worked for me and in some ways it was a darker version of Ed Wood. ... Twenty years ago Marv Wolfman and George Perez worked magic with The New Teen Titans. Reading some of those stories kept me busy as Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman talked in the background. |
