road rage perhaps

Even before I got up and walked to the front of the class, I knew that it was going to be a small disaster. Then once I got there it was a self fulfilling prophecy. Sigh.

For days the professor and I had exchanged email messages where I told him that I was concerned about the presentation and that I couldn't come up with any good ideas for it. He said to just concentrate on the theories that we discussed in class and that I would be fine. Well, that didn't make me feel any more confident in what I took with me to the class. Real life experience would have been much better than theories in this case.

Thankfully two other students in the class also lacked real world experience for their presentations as well.

Oh, I also want to mention that I have yet to see any form of a grade in this class. Maybe I'll get some of my assignments back tomorrow otherwise my grade will be a complete surprise to me when I finally see it online.

Still feeling disappointed with myself and vaguely depressed, the commute home was not something that I wanted to do and was less than pleasant. Here are some of the highlights of me making my way west through rush hour traffic from the east side of Milwaukee out past the suburbs to where I live.

I gave the finger to a moron who didn't understand why I wouldn't let him cut in front of me (he then gave me the finger when he caught up to me a mile or two later and I waved good bye as I left his ass in the dust behind me for a second time), a motorcyclist honked at me when I changed lanes in front of him when he had been going in and out of my blind spot for about three miles and I had had enough of him and then finally two younger morons in a van tried to merge at the last minute causing me to honk at them and they responded by waving at me. They thought that my anger was funny so I waved back at them when I sped by them at eighty miles an hour.

For me the true loser of the group was the first moron who was overweight and wearing outdated sunglasses in his SUV. He honestly did not seem to understand why I was not willing to slow down for him when he wanted to merge at the last minute before he would be forced onto another exit. My reason was that morons liked him cause accidents, if not bring a string of cars to a standstill just because he was going to get ahead of the rest of the cars by riding in what is an exit lane only.

I will not miss that commute.

...

Staying home tonight never felt so good. Plus a certain someone came by to give me some presents and cuddle for a while.
