unfortunate step backwards I am not happy this morning and my computer is the primary source of my woe. Usually the reverse is true, but not at this moment. Due to a series of events that I am still researching, I no longer am able to use Mac OS X. Since that version of operating system is gone so are many useful files that I used on a daily basis. For example, my address book which was part of that system is gone until I load a backup file. Plus all of my bookmarks, favorites or whatever are gone until I load a backup file. Sigh. This was not supposed to happen. During the course of the night, I went from 10.2.6 to 9.1. The old system is not as I remembered it. Things that I miss from OS X. The thrill of tabbed browsing and no pop up adds using Safari.
... Before the frustration of my computer, I did wander outside early this morning to try and see the Perseid Meteor shower only to be thwarted by the glare of an almost full moon. This didn't surprise me though. I did, however, see Mars sitting close to the moon. ... Hours have passed and all is well now with my computer. Mac OS X is running like a dream and I am happy. |
