early heat wave Maybe it has something to do with the sudden onset of so much free time, but Tuesdays tend to be very chaotic days for me where I get very little done. Today was no exception. Work had left me on edge because of a visitor training people in another department. All night long and into the morning, I was forced to hear this woman repeating the same UNIX commands and supposedly offhand comments about each of them. Hearing her teach once was enough to drive me insane. Multiple times was painful. I couldn't wait for her to shut up and debated telling her to do so more than once. ... My three hours at the ESL class was time well spent and the woman from Lithuania enjoyed seeing the photos that I had taken of her country. Not only did she recognize what was in the photos, she was also able to point out where she went to school and the building where she worked in the same picture. Another benefit was that she answered some of my questions about what I had seen there. About the only other productive thing that I did today was clean out the inside of my car. I didn't have time to get the outside washed, but at least the interior has more of shine now. Besides I had read online that it was supposed to rain today. The rain didn't happen, but we did get the warmest weather so far this year and I opened the windows of my house to take full advantage of it. |
