Part of the evening was spent trying to come up with a new design for the site, but nothing that I made appealed to me enough to keep and or upload. Yes, I do know more html than I use here. I have just never felt the need to abandon my less is more approach. I make no claims about my site being mistake free, because that is certainly not true. For me, a successful site should be simple and easy on the eyes. Hopefully my site meets those requirements. Maybe inspiration will strike me later this month.

From what I have read online about Chuck Austen, I've gotten the impression that he is not well thought of by most readers in the comic book market. More than once I've read a review or comment that says his writing is contrary to the way characters have been written in the past. Suddenly characters that have been around for some forty years start acting as though they were completely new people. This disregard for established traits has not been well received. Some have said that the man doesn't know how to write and the more I read of his run on The Avengers, I am starting to believe those comments.

I'll be blunt. There are two reasons that I keep reading The Avengers and neither of them has to do with the writing. The Wrecking Crew arc was less than interesting to me and this new one centering on a revival of The Invaders is boring me as well. What keeps me around is Coipel and Kolins doing the art. Either one of them is fine with me.
