simple summer reading My monthly shipment of books from Mile High came in the mail today and I couldn't stop reading them. I didn't feel guilty about this though, because I didn't have anything else planned for the day. I was free to do whatever I wanted. With almost perfect summer weather, I sat outside on my deck and read for hours. About the only downside to this quiet activity was that there was a strong breeze that would catch the pages every so often. Otherwise getting lost in the various worlds of Powers, Lucifer, Fables, Y The Last Man, Legion and the Green Lantern was a great way to spend my afternoon. Each of the books has a certain appeal and I doubt that anyone else reads the exact same mix of books that I do. In addition to receiving my monthly shipment, I also got my Van Gogh print delivered today. It didn't get hung, but it did make its way into the bedroom. I was a little disappointed with the color of the mat that I chose, but it's bearable. |
