read sequential art

Eight thirty in the morning and I am extremely tired, because I haven't gotten much sleep in the past two days. Yesterday was spent with the family celebrating the return of my sister the solider and the day before that was one was spent eating out and seeing a movie. Both activities were worth the loss of sleep, but my bed is the only place where I want to be now.

Now before I rectify my sleep loss problem, I just want to mention that I am hooked on reading an online comic called Ice by Faith Erin Hicks. Both the art and the story are unlike anything that I am reading from the comic book industry. About all that I know so far is that some mild ice age has happened and the lead character is a young woman called Hunter. I see hints of Grendel and Paul Pope's THB, but this story and or world is new and still growing. Both of those other series are so sporadic these days that neither of them can maintain my interest anymore. I am hoping that that doesn't happen with Ice.

Ten after nine and I am still reading Ice instead of sleeping. Rachael Yamagata is singing in the background. She is my new musical find at the moment with the song The Reason Why being my favorite.

Yesterday my brother brought out his new laptop that he bought and I was jealous. I keep telling myself that I am trying to save money for China, but maybe a new system for my birthday would be acceptable. Sigh.

...

Six in the evening and I think that I got enough sleep. I've read all fifty seven pages of Ice and can't wait for the next page to be uploaded. From what I read that happens every Sunday so I may have something new later tonight.
