leaving the city I will fully admit that this may be nothing more than a self fulfilling prophecy, but August is moving by incredibly fast for me. As of this minute I am still trying to decide if I want to spend the next three days out of town again. A few things are being factored into this decision. First of all, I have to attend a wedding this weekend so I would have to come back early Friday afternoon to make it in time for the dinner rehearsal. So in some ways my time away might seem a little rushed, but then again I did the same thing the last time that I went. However, instead of going to a wedding function, I had to go to work. The second factor in my decision is the weather. Looking at the weather forecast, I see rain and cool temperatures listed for the rest of the week. That almost completely eliminates any swimming that I might want to do when I am far from the city. Of course riding my bicycle would still be an option. The third and probably the most important factor is my brother. He is already at my grandparents place with the rest of the family and is staying there to the end of the week. Now I did see him this past Saturday at my parents place, but if I don't go to Minocqua, I won't see him again until next year. With his moving to Arizona at the end of the month and the start of new training, he said that he wouldn't be returning to Wisconsin any time soon. ... In today's mail, there was a large envelope from the Milwaukee Rep. Inside said envelope were my season tickets for the fall into next year. As early as the seventeenth of September, I will be seeing The Crucible. Now as much as I like seeing plays there, I see this as yet another sign that summer is fast coming to a close. |
