calcutta to rotorua

Tonight the remaining teams on The Amazing Race made their way from India to New Zealand. From seeing the previews from last week, I had a feeling that that was where they were going. The biggest clue for me was seeing the zorb going down the hill for one of their tasks. As to why that is so associated with New Zealand is beyond me. Maybe it got its start there, but a person can zorb in Wisconsin if they want. All that a company needs is some of those balls and some rolling hills. It really isn't that complicated or exotic of a sport and I use that term loosely.

I was a little disappointed that the program kept the teams on the North island. Now I have nothing against Auckland or Rotorua, but I do prefer the South island to the North island. The steam vents and mud pools are interesting, but they don't compare with the mountains and fjords found on the South island. Interestingly enough I knew exactly where the teams were when they were in Rotorua. In fact my hotel was on the same street where most of the action took place.
