new zealand song

After sleeping a large portion of my Wednesday away, I was determined to get as much as I possibly could out of today. Showering at eight in the morning instead of lying down for a quick nap probably helped. Now for most people that doesn't sound all that unusual, but for me four days out of the week I am starting to wind down at eight in the morning and a shower is the last thing that I want to do.

Besides laundry, my big achievement of the day was selling some more things that have been collecting dust in my place. Instead of just books I also took three old VHS tapes with me to the used bookstore. Naturally I didn't walk away with any real sum of money, but I doubt in the coming weeks that I will miss anything that I sold. The books and tapes were collecting dust for a reason. They didn't interest me anymore.

...

Another new source of music that caught my eye last week was a young woman named Hayley Westenra. At first glance I had thought that she was an up and coming pop singer. Then I turned the disc around to read the song titles on the back. The first one I couldn't even pronounce and then further on down was Benedictus. Clearly this was not the next Britney Spears. Then when I heard her voice I knew that she was as far from pop music as possible. She more in league with Charlotte Church if anyone.
