full moon february

As disjointed as Tuesdays tend to be for me, Wednesdays are the one day of the week that can offset that awful feeling. A Man of All Seasons has joined my list of historical dramas that I want to own. Henry VIII and his offspring have always fascinated me, so I was curious to see a young Henry arguing with Sir Thomas More. In order to get his divorce Henry separated England from the Roman Catholic Church, an act that More did not approve.

Not surprisingly there isn't much action in the film, but the incredible dialogue more than makes up for the lack of action. Paul Scofield is amazing. Listening to him deliver his masterful arguments was more than worth the rental. The only way that he was found guilty was through false testimony.

Lost satisfied me with yet another good episode tonight and Alias redeemed itself after last weeks dismal effort. My wish is that neither program loses this momentum in the coming weeks.
