home improvement skills In the four years that I have been a homeowner I can't say that I've gotten that much better with home repairs. Earlier this year, I had to purchase a new clothes washing machine, because the one that came with the condo broke. My Dad and I quickly determined that it wasn't worth the effort in trying to replace the broken part in the machine. It was more economical to just purchase a whole new machine. Then later in the year, the garbage disposal decided to die. Despite a lower cost, I have yet to have that replaced. I just don't put anything down that sink except for water and that tends to drain slowly. Now to add to that short list of household problems, I can add one damaged if not completely broke garage door opener. |
