no sun yet After work this morning, I stopped at the library. As helpful as the internet can be in doing research for a trip, there are still times when I like to look through a paper guide book. Now as convenient as my local library might be for me in terms of distance, there is a drawback to a small library. There was a very small selection of guide books that focused on Scotland and the one that I checked out was five years old. Just paging through it, I could tell that it had been written before the World Trade Center had been destroyed. Sigh. ... With the absence of The Amazing Race on Tuesday night, I've been able to give the NBC comedy Scrubs another chance. The movie Garden State is a personal favorite of mine, but Zach Braff isn't the same in the sitcom. For me, the humor is far more crude and relies too much on slapstick. I don't dislike the show, but at the same time I wish that it was better, because I know that Zach can do better. |
