hint of snow This had to be the best Tuesday that I have had in a long time. Without the aid of making a list, I still managed to accomplish quite a few things today. Oh, none of them were that constructive. It wasn't as though, I completed numerous chores, nor did I pay any bills. No, it was more a day where I relaxed and felt truly good about it. For me, I consider that a success and it was a great contrast to yesterday. ... After work, I sat through two very different movies. The first movie called Saved was a comedy that poked fun of extremist Christians. Personally I found it to be too over the top and not very funny. Obviously anyone who is unwilling to tolerate another point of view is open to ridicule, but at the same time, I took nothing of importance from the movie and was vaguely insulted by it. If there had been more of a subtle approach I would have enjoyed it more. The second movie of the morning was the horror film Saw. Someone had already told me the ending so I was watching just to see if his version matched the actual movie itself. It did and I wasn't frightened. ... I had wanted to download the Christmas episode of Doctor Who, but soon realized that I hadn't seen the final episode with Christopher Eccleston in the title role. Over the years, I've seen all of the regeneration episodes and found all of them to be very moving. This latest one was no exception. Rose and The Doctor were closer than any previous Doctor and his companion. At first I was surprised that the writers took the dynamic in that direction, but when they did it felt very natural to me. ... It began with some commercial that used a song sample of theirs. From there it was a quick stop at their web site to see if Oasis was touring this year. Then I found out too late that the band Oasis is coming to Milwaukee and the show is sold out. |
