alien tardis planet Various forms of science fiction have played a big factor for me these past few days and I have no idea why either. First, there were the Doctor Who episodes that I downloaded on Tuesday that I thoroughly enjoyed. Seeing the baton being passed from Eccleston to Tennant was quite rewarding. Then this morning I finally saw the movie Forbidden Planet in its entirety for the first time. For years, I had read about how the film overlays the basic plot structure of Shakespeare's The Tempest and now I can say that those claims were true. Finally, tonight I watched both Alien and its sequel Aliens. I had seen them in the past, but never together in one sitting. All three of those selections occupy their own space in the wide realm of science fiction and I can't say which appeals to me the most. |
