banish the son Once again The Milwaukee Rep disappointed me tonight. They did a comedy of sorts called Sueno and it was a painful reminder of why I do not like their sense of humor. To be fair, it wasn't intended to be a comedy, but even the serious part of the play didn't appeal to me. For example, the concept of a father banishing his son based on an astrological prediction sounded promising, but in execution it fell flat for me. What was worse was that none of the characters interested me and the plot was so feeble in my opinion. The play annoyed me so much that I truly felt every minute of the first act and knew that I wasn't going to enjoy the second act any more than the first. |
