guster the spoon

The NBC show Surface will be airing its season finale next week and I am curious to see where the writers will leave us for the summer. Each week they have moved the story forward ever so slightly without making it seem as though it were being dragged out and from my perspective they have just the right pacing. With tonight's episode being the second to last, they revealed the most that they have so far in the entire season and I don't think that they can go much further without giving everything away. I suspect that they realize that this is the case and will tease us just enough so that we will be back watching in the fall.

The idea that for years some secret organization has been gathering scientists to genetically engineer new species seems very time appropriate and also has elements of The X-Files in it. Both of these elements and a star who is easy on the eyes makes for some quality viewing on Monday night.

Lately on the music front I have been rotating the bands Guster and Spoon in the CD player in my car. The two of them have nothing in common other than being indie bands so the contrast is quite interesting.
