bad follows good Very seldom are Mondays good days for me, but today was definitely one that I wish that I could do over. I let work get under my skin and that ruined the rest of the day for me. About the only light moment in the day was watching the first episode of the latest season of The Apprentice. Seeing these highly entrepreneurial people start to belittle one another reinforces all of my disgust with the business world in general. Supposedly a number of them are self made millionaires yet they still want more money. Well, I do not have a million dollars to my name, but if I did I doubt that I would be unhappy with that amount. Perhaps one would say that I am jealous of their success, but I don't think that that is true. I don't feel better about myself when I wear a shirt and tie. Nor do I feel the need to boss other people around. Maybe I can't see beyond the stereotypes, but I don't think that I would want to associate with any of the people that appear on The Apprentice. They all seem very petty to me, but that just might be where they stoop once the cameras are there to observe. |
