Months ago I never would have guessed that Ultimate Fantastic Four would be the best read that Marvel has to offer at the moment, but that seems to be the current state of affairs. Personally I think that it has everything to do with being free of the Civil War nonsense that has plagued all of the Earth 616 books. Soon Mark Millar and his zombies will be leaving the book for the pen of Mike Carey and I am more than a little eager to see what the man who put words into the mouth of Lucifer is going to do with Marvel's first family. Pasqual Ferry taking over the art chores from Greg Land is also acceptable in my opinion. Right or wrong, the photo-realism of Greg has started to take its toll on me and his Sue reminds me too much of Arwyn from Sojourn.

I had read that other book for a college literature course where Victorian novels were contrasted to more modern spins on the same story. Jack Maggs was more background on Magwitch from Great Expectations by Charles Dickens.

I have to confess that I like what I have heard from the new Christina Aguilera album. Some of the negative reviews say that she tries to recreate herself like Madonna has done so often through the course of her career, but that Christina isn't as adept at said task. I disagree. I think that she is every bit as talented as Madonna if not more than the girl with Catholic guilt.
