bruce buffy biography Knowing that the weather was supposed to turn cool tomorrow, I decided to bring my stationary bike inside my house today, because as I have said in the past, pedaling inside a cold garage is not something that I like to do. My one concern about the bike was where to put it once I had it inside my place. The second bedroom makes the most sense, but I left it in the kitchen and may decided to keep it there if I don't find it too awkward. When I first found out that Bruce Springsteen was going to be releasing a tribute album to Pete Seeger called We Shall Overcome The Seeger Sessions, I did not know what to think. The name Pete Seeger was vaguely familiar to me, but it certainly was not a favorite of mine. Then when I downloaded a few tracks, I was almost indifferent to what I heard. Nothing grabbed my attention. Today, however, when I watched The Seeger Sessions on DVD, I developed a genuine fondness for the songs. Seeing Bruce and his friends sing the songs definitely brought them alive for me. I wouldnÕt say that this is his best album, but I like to see him trying different things. ... Since I finished the last disc of the audio book version of The Girl in Hyacinth Blue, I needed something new for my commute. After scanning rows of titles in the library, I chose a biography of Winston Churchill and so far I like what I have heard. For a long time I have been meaning to read a biography of him, but never seemed to find the time. Listening to a biography of him is the ideal solution to me. In keeping with my historical theme, I am also reading a biography of Marie Antoinette. I doubt that I could have chosen two more different historical figures, but I find both of them to be fascinating people. I could see them as being people who I would invite for dinner conversation. ... At best I was a casual viewer of Buffy The Vampire Slayer when it was on television. I could see how some people might be attracted to Sarah Michelle Gellar, but I never saw her as devastatingly beautiful. Now she has permanently made the jump to the big screen in primarily the horror genre. Sometimes it works for her and sometimes it does not. For example, I thought that she did an excellent job in The Grudge, but The Return was lacking something. Technically speaking I do not think that it was billed as horror, but even as suspense it felt incomplete to me. |
