Up the Hill

Over the weekend a customer had a major complaint about my company, so this meant that he complained to the president of the company. The president went to my boss and complained. My boss went to my department and complained. Thus the first rule in business that shit rolls downhill was observed. I, however, managed to stay clean.

All day long people were avoiding my boss. When a person gets chewed they feel the need to chew someone else. Its so primal and so stupid, but its reality.

Even though my boss was being completely irrational all day, I didn't let it bother me. Why should I let his mood ruin my day. On the other hand, I decided that today would not be the day to ask for a four day work week. Something told me that it might be a bad time.

These outburts from my boss are a major incentive to leave the company as soon as possible. There has to be a better work environment somewhere else. Six months can't get here soon enough on a day like today. As for the project that I talked about last week, my boss has yet to decide if he wants to pay for it or not. Let's just say that I am not holding my breath.

Very little else happened today. It was the same old routine minus the school buses this morning on my drive into work.

Two more days and I am free until Monday.
