Missed by the Storm

The positive streak continues at work and I am still amazed. This means that I only have to make it through tomorrow and then I am free for the weekend. I have survived yet another week of work. Yes, I'll take my small victories where I can get them. I also want to take this moment to mention that in my opinion A Small Victory was the best song on the Angel Dust album by Faith No More.

It seems that without the stress of work bearing down on me that my mind has become a blank. Nothing is happening inside my head. I want to write something, but I can't think of anything to say that seems worthwhile.

Let's take a moment to review. First of all nothing has been bothering me, so there won't be any whining today. Nor have there been any minor revelations either so I won't be jotting down any haiku in the near future. So this means either one of two things must have happened to me. I must have achieved nirvana without realizing it or I have heatstroke. I think that I would prefer nirvana over heatstroke though.

Maybe its a combination of no stress and major amounts of heat that have affected my brain. I can't explain it. All that I know is that for most of the day at work I was goofy. By goofy I mean everything was funny to me even though no one else thought so. I had my own private joke and I couldn't share it with anyone.

The day may have been dull, but the night was a little better. The night provided some impressive lightning in the southern part of the sky. Actually the storm missed me, but I got to see it hammer someone else for a few hours. So there I sat tonight in my boxers watching the lightning for entertainment. Will the fun ever stop?

Oh, I neglected to mention that I did the laundry by myself on Monday night. This came about because Brenda was working and the laundromat closed early on us Sunday. So everyone in the laundromat got to see me alternately folding my boxers and her thongs. I guess that I could have said that sometimes I like to be free and easy and sometimes I like to be snug, but that probably wouldn't have been a good idea. We would like to go back to that same laundromat next week and not have me kicked out as some kind of pervert.

I better shut up, because this may not read as well a few days from now.
