eighty-six degrees The first thing that I had to do when I woke up this afternoon was try to lower the temperature in my house. After I was fully awake, I went into the basement and brought up the two fans that I own. There was no way that I was going to sit and sweat in my house until I went in to work. I wasn't sweating yet, but it didn't make any sense to just sit there and do nothing. Eighty-six degrees is not what I consider comfortable room temperature. Nor can I believe that ten degrees shy of body temperature is healthy. One of the two fans is the kind that mounts in a window and it does a pretty good job of cooling down a small room. All that I have to do is close the door of the room to get the desired effect. After about half an hour the temperature in the bedroom came back to a tolerable level and I got a slight breeze moving through the house. I might still invest in a second window unit for the livingroom so that I can sleep in there as well as the bedroom. I can't justify investing in a more expensive air conditioning unit when these fans seem to do the job. Besides very seldom does Milwaukee have eighty degree weather for any great length of time. Another thing that I should probably do to minimize the sun heating everything up is lower the awning outside the livingroom window. I'm surprised that I slept as long as I did in that kind of heat. On the other hand, the night before was one of the busiest nights that I have had in weeks at work. Eight hours went by in an instant for me. It was another case of learn as I go type of problem solving.
